Our Programs:

The purpose of each program is to provide developmentally appropriate activities for growth in all areas of a child’s development: social and emotional, development of positive self-esteem, physical, and cognitive through an integrated approach.  We recognize that each child develops as an individual in ways specific to his/herself and that different areas of development will be strengths.  Identified strengths will be recognized and built upon for each child.

There is a challenge to balance a child’s rapidly changing view and understanding of the world with opportunities to test and reinvent the world itself to her/his level of development.  This explains how and why young children can continually use the same materials in new and amazing ways.  Children of all ages need uninterrupted periods of time to become involved, investigate, observe, select and persevere at activities.

The teacher’s role is to prepare the environment with stimulating, challenging activity choices and to facilitate children’s learning through participation.  Most of the time this occurs during play.
